List Filter Web Part - Set Filter via URL?

Hi everybody,

I have implemented the List Filter Web Part and it looks and works really good!!!
But now I would like to set the Filter through a link from a different page. Is it possible to provide a value through a URL?

It would really help me a lot.
Thank you

Hi again,

in the meantime I found the source of the select but actially have not succeeded in solving my requirement.

<SELECT style="WIDTH: 200px" id=ctl00_m_g_a2c9bf95_6164_40ff_8fee_1d912c50d41a_ctl00 class=ms-vb2 onchange="javascript:setTimeout('__doPostBack(\'ctl00$m$g_a2c9bf95_6164_40ff_8fee_1d912c50d41a$ctl00\',\'\')', 0)" name=ctl00$m$g_a2c9bf95_6164_40ff_8fee_1d912c50d41a$ctl00> <OPTION selected value=-1>-- ALL --</OPTION> <OPTION value=120>120</OPTION> <OPTION value=120C>120C</OPTION> <OPTION value=620>620</OPTION> <OPTION value=620C>620C</OPTION> <OPTION value=620MC>620MC</OPTION></SELECT>

Isn't it possible to define the variable over the URL and for example set the filter directly to a value?

Thank you

If you are using MOSS Enterprise, you can use the out of the box Query String filter web part for this.
